There’s a rise in dodgy Chinese companies trying to get me and other girls to model their stuff. One said they would send me a full set of Lolita, I googled their company and the reviews were mostly “they steal other peoples designs” and “the item they sent didn’t look anything like the one I ordered” then fake poor English ones like “Yes this company are super dreamy time”
So just be careful~
It would suck if you agreed to model something and then you found out it was a design ripped off from a small independent designer, those guys work pretty hard~

@strawberryskies & @capsule-bunny, If someone could pm me the names of these shops, I’d appreciate it.  I’m not that popular or in demand yet and I’ve already noticed that I’m being followed by some sketchy shops.

I post art of my own characters/fanart and am working on products for my shops and would like to try to stop it before it starts by taking measures to let people know when I start creating products as well as to create some kind of awareness for these shops to keep it from hindering other artists.

The one recent is called “devilinspired” they are masquerading as a U.K. Based store but they are definitely Chinese. Other ones are random sites with names like “Harajuku fashion” as their name.
It’s sad because in Japan I made friends with a lot of smaller designers who don’t make much money and I’ve seen a lot of copies of their work, especially accessory brands. I accidentally bought a ring thinking it was my friends brand but it was a fake!

@capsule-bunny, thank you, that’s one of the ones that looks to be affiliated with a store that started following me.    

Asian Cute (the one following me), Harajuku Fashion, Cute Kawaii, and Fashion Kawaii are all Hong Kong based shops that sell pretty much the same thing.  I have seen some stolen art as well including stuff from @missjediflip  http://missjediflip.tumblr.com/
